The Town of Alberton operates under a Commission / Executive form of government. This means we have a Town Council and a Mayor that are elected every four years. The Council elections are staggered, if possible. Each member of the Town's Administration receives a small stipend for their service.

Town Council Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month in the Community Center at 7 pm.
An agenda is created and posted for the public a few days prior to each month's meeting. Meeting Minutes are recorded and approved at the following Council Meeting.
