ALBERTON Community Food Pantry
Organized and staffed by volunteers, the Alberton Community Food Pantry provides food assistance
to local residents twice a month.
The pantry is open from 1:00 to 6:00 pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each
month. The pantry is located on the east side of the Town Fire Hall (Frenchtown Rural Station #8) at 503 5th Street.
Applications are available at the Food Pantry. They are also availabe at the Alberton town Office, open Monday thru Thursdays 9
am to 3 pm. Proof of residence can be a driver's license or utility bill.

I LIVE IN ALBERTON; CAN I GET SOME FOOD HELP ?
Yes, Residents of Alberton can
qualify for help with food. Stop into the Alberton Community Food Pantry, when it's open on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the
month (1-6 pm), and our volunteers will give you an Application and go over its questions with you. We ask that you bring
Proof of Residency at that time. Then we give you some food, per our guidelines, and invite you to return again in two weeks.
SERVES AS PROOF OF RESIDENCY ?
A Driver's license or utility bill or any official document that shows where you live will be accepted
as Proof of Residency. Volunteers explain that the Food Pantry must be very careful to determine it is serving only local
HOW MUCH FOOD CAN I GET AT ONE TIME ?
We have guidelines on how much food we can give out,
but typically the amount depends on how many people are in your family. We can give you enough food for two days. When
we can give more, we do. We are as generous as we can be. The Town of Alberton has been very generous.
THE PANTRY GET ITS FOOD ?
The Alberton Community Food Pantry accepts cash and food donations to stock its shelves. Most of its
food is purchased at reduced rates from the Montana Food Bank Network. If you'd like to donate to the Food Bank, contact one
of the Volunteers.
HOW CAN I DONATE TO THE ALBERTON FOOD BANK ?
A regular cash donation is a good way to help your neighbors in need. We use the monetary
donation to buy quality food from the Montana Food Bank Network for a reduced rate. Of course, we also accept food donations, and
this can include perishable items (fruits, vegetables), canned goods (rice and soups) as well as more specialty type items, such as
baby formula or meals focused on meeting the needs of senior citizens or children.
I DONATE TO THE ALBERTON FOOD BANK ?
The Alberton Community Food Bank is open twice a month: the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 1
pm to 6 pm. You can also drop off food donations to the following locations in Alberton:

Store Monday - Saturday 9 - 6 pm
Senior Citizens Center Tuesdays & Thursdays 12 - 1 pm

HOW CAN I HELP THE ALBERTON FOOD BANK ?
An all-volunteer Board of Directors operates the Alberton Community Food Bank. If you're looking
to help out your community, please become a Food Pantry Volunteer. We need volunteers to help on Wednesday afternoon shifts, to help
stock shelves, and to help deliver food to the pantry. Contact
